The Project
To develop a replica of Solomon's Temple from the biblical quotation was the purpose of this challenging project. Deployed in an area of 28,275 m2 at Celso Garcia Avenue in the neighborhood of Brás - São Paulo, the complex that has a built area of 73,000 m2 is divided into two large blocks that are interconnected by an area that can comfortably accommodate 10,546 seats.

The numbers of this project are stunning. As an example we can cite the volume of concrete which will be approximately 28.000m3 and quantity of steel to be used, which is almost 2,000 tons.

The front building of eleven floors comes equipped with measuring almost 56m tall counting from the plateau of deployment, not to count the 7m down where the two basements that hold 1,147 parking spaces. The building funds will be aligned with the hall and reach a height of just over 41 feet tall.

The idealization of Bishop Edir Macedo is to create a biblical atmosphere where all the external facade of the temple and the columns will receive stones from Israel.

Starting with the facade, through the lobby and getting inside the hall, engineers and architects have created a vision in order to bring the faithful people to the past. Drawing on all the latest technology combined with common sense in the architecture so as not to create shock times. A good example is up to the lighting of the hall that was developed in order to overcome a height of almost 18m, without the people see the light, because they did not exist at the time of the Temple. Materials of the season as wood, stone, and copper are used in large scale in areas of the hall.

The complex also includes 36 Bible schools with capacity to accommodate approximately 1300 children, Radio and TV studios, an auditorium for 500 people, plus 59 apartments, kitchenettes, a suite of 12 apartments, 13 two bedroom suites.

The plateau area of deployment of the Temple, can only be accessed by pedestrians, with this the building stands out as an imposing Great Monument, which shares space with just the landscaping that fits perfectly to the set. In the outer area was created a memorial of 250 m2, with the right foot integrated triple landscaping through a water mirror where you can know a little more not only the history of this temple, but also the history of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.

The temple will be designed to cause the least possible impact on the environment by reducing the impact of actions in the neighborhood during construction and throughout its life through the use of recycled and regional, beyond the rational use of energy, water reuse and heat.

The building will be occupied by the faithful people, administrators and residents, who should enjoy the comfort, safety and all the facilities designed by a team of engineers and architects, such as:

a) Covered parking;

b) air conditioning;

c) Generation System that will provide power to the entire building, if any interruption in the supply of commercial energy occurs;

d) Central heating system for heating water;

e) Elevators prepared for use by individuals with special needs;

f) Main hall equipped with a sound system of last generation and Video Wall system;

g) Security system equipped with CCTV;

h) Ventilation and natural lighting available in homes, offices and Bible schools;

i) Area harmonized with green architecture, through landscaping;

j) Automation system that controls the common illumination and the main equipment of the building through the monitoring centre that will operate 24 hours;

k) To resolve the noise issues, a comprehensive acoustic design is being developed;

l) Dwellings, Bible Schools, studios and offices equipped with temperature controllers and switches for lighting, both operated by the users, aiming to provide greater comfort and lower energy consumption;

m) lighting project designed to convey some sense of comfort and warmth, using lighting as art and technology, enhancing further the speculation.
