Introduction
The Temple is a place of worship. For the Jews, the Temple was a place to worship and make sacrifices to God. When Israel was on the way to the Promised Land, after being freed from Egypt, they were instructed by God to build a "mobile temple" called the Tabernacle, so they may have a place to worship, every time they camped.

The people saw the Tabernacle and the temple as the place where the Spirit of God dwelt. Israel had spent nearly 400 years worshiping God in the Tabernacle.

However, King David proposed to build a house for God (2 Samuel 7:2-3) and God gave a word to David (1 Chronicles 28:19), so that the Temple was "exceedingly magnificent, for the glory to the name in all lands "(1 Chronicles 22:5).

The Temple was destroyed and rebuilt throughout history.

For Jews, there is still hope for the 3rd Temple to be rebuilt. There is a belief that there will be an earthquake in Jerusalem which will destroy the Mosque of Omar (Islamic), thus providing for the construction of the new Temple.
