Sunday of Humility
“It is not like the Campaign of Israel, which we present our sacrifice, put our faith in to action and we fight to get the answer and sometimes the answer comes in a week, a month, three months, but it comes. The response we want to get has to come on the day of humiliation. The answer to Ahab, Hezekiah and Manasseh came immediately. The faith also leads us to humiliation, shame, and tears ..." said Bishop Macedo during a Special service with pastors and assistants on the 15th of this month.
Many people go through serious problems and they have to manage their problems for months, years and even decades; they go to the church, they make chain of prayers but they do not see their cry out being answered at the time they want. When God answers a prayer, God uses the humility as the key to answer that prayer.
"We know that faith is aggressive, faith is action. When we speak about sacrificial offering, the sacrifice is an expression of faith when a person pours out his heart on the altar of God. But God saw the attitude of humiliation of Ahab, and this attitude touched God’s heart…” said Bishop.
We must be prepared for the Day of Humility. On this day, write a letter describing your pain, what makes you frustrated and humiliated. If you can, fast as well. The most important thing is for you to have a broken heart before the Lord. We are going to humble ourselves with all humility before God.
"I'm sure that even before your request has been placed on the altar, you will receive your answer. No matter what you did, your response will be instantly. " said Bishop Macedo.

On Sunday 31st January, in all the temples of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG), we will be having a special service called "The Day of Humility". People who have been praying for a cause that has not been answered by God will have a great opportunity at this service of faith seeking the answer they are expecting for so long.
